CORONAVIRUS SAVED KAMALNATH GOVERNMENT
The
Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh survived till 26 March. Assembly
Speaker N P Prajapati has postponed the assembly proceedings till 26 March,
citing Coronavirus. This means that the Kamal Nath government has now got time
till March 26. He no longer needs to undergo a floor test.
During
this time, the Kamal Nath government will try to get its missing legislators in
its favor. The political stir in Madhya Pradesh came to an end when the
proceedings of the Legislative Assembly were postponed till 26 March.
It
is noteworthy that the budget session was held in Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha
from March 16 with the address of Governor Lalji Tandon. Lalji tondon called
upon all members to behave as per rules in the current circumstances.
At
the same time, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan along with all his
BJP MLAs reached Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. The BJP was fully prepared to
have a floor test done on Monday itself.
But
Chief Minister Kamal Nath met Governor Lalji Tandon on Sunday night and said
that under current conditions, it would be undemocratic to conduct floor test.
After the adjournment of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly till March 26,
Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs protested the decision and raised slogans against
the Kamal Nath government in the assembly premises. According to the
information, the former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also challenged this decision of the
Speaker in the Supreme Court.
